The Somerset Local Government
Reorganisation Joint Committee oversaw
an implementation plan on behalf of the 5 Somerset Council’s,
leading to the establishment of a unitary council for
Somerset.
In accordance with its terms of
reference the Joint Committee ceased to exist at the point at which
the Structural Changes Order came into effect on the
17th March 2022. For details of related meetings

the LGR Implementation Board.
